Who we are
Benjamin James
Ben’s formal studies in welding began in 2009, and upon graduating from the SRJC welding certificate program, he gained experience in industrial union work and fabrication shops throughout the SF Bay Area. Combining the acquired skills with his passion for art, he eventually built his own workshop where he has the freedom to follow his inspirations. Ben is a true innovator, constantly dreaming up one-of-a-kind creations. Skilled in many trades, his other experience includes carpentry, electrical, plumbing, arboriculture, and landscaping.
Lauren Vukicevich
Through years of working in the landscape industry, Lauren developed a special interest in metal fabrication. Remembering her citrus farming grandfather who always encouraged the useful skill of welding, she began searching for opportunities to learn. In 2021, she found an incredible teacher in Ben, and has been inspired by the welding process ever since. She also runs a landscape design business, Respire Gardens, and loves the process of bringing creative visions to life.
A Tail of Two Lions
The name “Two Lions” comes from our shared Leo sign, a marker of our collective creativity, passion, and integrity. These are the core values of this business, and the driving forces in everything we build. The Two Lions logo is comprised of one Leo symbol (a lion’s tail) integrated with another inverted symbol, forming a cursive L in the center.
